Conwell-Egan Alum Adam Van Zelst Tabbed Men's Basketball Head Coach At Arcadia

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Arcadia University has announced the hiring of Adam Van Zelst as head coach of its men's basketball team. Van Zelst is a 2006 graduate of Conwell-Egan, and earned second-team boys' basketball All-Catholic honors as a senior. His twin brother Ryan is also a 2006 graduate of CEC, and currently serves as an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Scranton.
Van Zelst spent last season as an assistant men's basketball coach for Millersville University, where he helped lead the Marauders to their highest win total in the past five seasons. With the second-youngest team in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Millersville hosted its first playoff game in five years.
Before joining Millersville, Van Zelst spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Albright. During his tenure, he coached the backcourt for six seasons and acted as the team's recruiting coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic region.
