PHILADELPHIA, PA - Ryan Guth posted a score of 619 over three games and teammate Malik Joynes added a 610 as second-seeded Roman captured the 2019 Philadelphia Catholic League Boys' Bowling Championship with a narrow 2913-2874 victory over No. 1 Archbishop Ryan on Saturday afternoon at Bristol Lanes.
The victory marked the second PCL crown in three seasons for Roman. Austin Stawicki notched a score of 598, while Sean Lopez added a 593 on the afternoon for Archbishop Ryan, which earned the regular season title with a 14-2 record in league play.
