Archbishop Carroll Defends Its Philadelphia Catholic League Girls' Volleyball Championship

ASTON, PA - Archbishop Carroll earned its third consecutive Philadelphia Catholic League Girls' Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 victory over No. 2 Cardinal O'Hara in the 2018 finals on Sunday afternoon at the Mirenda Center on the campus of Neumann University.
After compiling a perfect 12-0 record during the PCL regular season, the Patriots advance to face Central in the District XII 4A title game at 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Martin Luther King High School.
Archbishop Carroll took the opening set by a score of 25-15, before taking the second (25-11) and third (25-14) sets. The Patriots did not drop a set versus a PCL opponent in 15 matches this season, including playoffs.
Cardinal O'Hara finishes as PCL runner-up for the second time in three seasons and will play for the District XII 3A Championship on Nov. 2 at 6:00 p.m. at Bonner & Prendie. The Lions will take on Palumbo.
