PHILADELPHIA, PA - Junior Kami Joi Hickson finished fifth overall to lead four Neumann-Goretti runners in the top 10 as the Saints captured the 2018 Philadelphia Catholic League Girls’ Cross Country Championship on a picturesque Saturday afternoon at historic Belmont Plateau.
 
On the boys’ side, La Salle College earned a perfect score of 15 for the second consecutive year en route to seizing its fourth straight title. 

Hickson posted a time of 21:44, while teammates Mykala Perry (21:45.4), Dasia Wilson (22:10.9) and Kimberly Johnson (22:21.2) crossed the finish line in sixth, ninth and tenth places, respectively.  The Saints amassed a team score of 42, while Cardinal O’Hara (70) finished second and 2017 champion Bonner & Prendie (107) came in third. 

Senior Christine Mancini of Cardinal O’Hara earned the individual title with a winning time of 19:58.1, while Little Flower junior Olivia Pisacano (20:32.9) finished runner-up, followed by senior Casey Ems (20:43.3) of Archbishop Wood and junior Katie Till (20:50.6) of Cardinal O’Hara. 

Junior Vincent Twomey recorded a winning time of 16:20.2, while teammates Ethan Maher (16:28.5), Paul Ghantous (16:51.0), Matthew Zilligen (16:57.9) and Bradden Koors (17:01.0) finished second-thru-fifth on the afternoon for the Explorers.

La Salle senior Jack Seiberlich (17:03.1) and teammate Dan Gervino (17:18.0) placed sixth and eighth, respectively, while Aidan Doherty (seventh - 17:07.3) of Archbishop Carroll, Ricky Raup (ninth – 17:19.5) of St. Joseph’s Prep and Shane Curran (tenth – 17:36.5) of Father Judge rounded out the top 10.  Father Judge finished second overall in the team standings with 82 points, while St. Joseph's Prep (93) came in third.
