La Salle College Wins 2017 PCL Boys' Lacrosse Championship

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - Brett Baskin and Joey Taylor scored three goals apiece as La Salle College seized the 2017 Philadelphia Catholic League Boys' Lacrosse Championship on Monday evening with a 13-3 victory over No. 2 St. Joseph's Prep at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
It marked the 21st PCL crown and third in four seasons for the Explorers, who advance to District XII play on May 24 at Northeast High School.
Matt Clibanoff and Chris Hladczuk netted two goals each for La Salle, which posted a perfect 10-0 record in the PCL play during the regular season. Goalie Nick Cissone amassed 12 saves for St. Joseph's Prep, which advanced to the finals after posting a 16-6 semifinal win over Lansdale Catholic on May 19.
