ASTON, PA - Top-seed and undefeated Archbishop Carroll overcame a two sets-to-one deficit to edge No. 2 Cardinal O'Hara, 3-2, in an action-packed Philadelphia Catholic League Girls Volleyball title match on Sunday afternoon on the campus of Neumann University.
The Patriots (21-0), who lost in the finals of the PCL Championship a year ago, rallied behind clutch play from league MVP Hannah Wright to win the fourth set, 25-20, before capturing the deciding fifth set, 15-8.
Seeking the program's first PCL crown since 2009, Cardinal O'Hara seized the first set by a 25-22 margin and notched a 25-19 win in the third set. Archbishop Carroll trailed for much of the second set before securing a 26-24 victory.
